Born and raised in Gippsland, Bill has been making wine under his own label for over 17 years. Along with fellow winemaker Patrick Sullivan, Bill leased vineyards around Baw Baw Shire including Wild Dog Estate where the vines are organically farmed. William Downie Wines are made with minimal intervention, he is renowned for making premium Pinot Noir which shows depth, balance and complexity site after site, vintage after vintage.
